 Hillsborough Hospital Haunting - Case 1

Various residents of Hillsborough Village claim that the area surrounding the psychiatric hospital is haunted by those who one resided there and died.

It's believed that the spirits of the tortured patients, unstable keeper and negligent doctor are haunting the area and possibly the hospital itself. Can spirits of an asylum move from one location to another, traveling with their prison only to settle (and possibly haunt) again?

 East Royalty Haunting – Case 2


Numerous residents of Hillsborough Village have claimed that they've experienced odd occurrence's while traveling the 'East Royalty Nature Pathway' These odd occurrence's include: Being followed, unexplained odors and sensations. Is this 'Pathway' truly haunted? If so, what is it that spiritually dwells there?

Dump Road Haunting/Wooden Bridge – Case 3


Aside from the words “burn the witch” which is said to be carved into a wooden bridge that leads to Dump Road, the various paths that surround it are also believed to be extremely haunted. There's also been various sightings of a shadow creature that wanders the dirt road, strange amber lights, an abandoned barn, and a gate to a fenced off area that opens and shuts without wind. Two members of Island PRG took it upon themselves to do a prep run of this area, unknowingly they were led to an astonishing discovery. Dump Road runs parallel to a house in which an exorcism took place. Does the entity driven from that particular house now lurk Dump Road? Or is there something else?

 Lady on the Lake – Victoria Boardwalk - Case 4


Island PRG received a series of photo's taken during this years (2011) Canada Day fireworks. In these photo's the outline of a woman appears, and the location for which the photo's were snapped is where PEI's first and only 'Witch Burning' took place. Is it truly our Island Witch that wanders this boardwalk?

  Witch's Grave – Roman Catholic Cemetery - Case 5


Various Islander's/and Tourist believe that a mysterious statue of a woman located in the Roman Catholic Cemetery marks the resting place of the Island Witch. Not only does this particular case re-tell a very intriguing story, but the statue holds its own tale; a tale PEI's never been told.

 Dead Man's Pond - Case 6


It is rumored that a man had drowned in the pond, therefor giving it the name. Not only is his reflection rumored to show up on the pond's surface, but strange noises, and paranormal activity happens on the three pathways that lead to the pond.

 County 1911 Jail – Case 7


Various people who've eaten at this particular establishment (now a pizzeria) have claimed to have seen the apparition of a man hanging from the building's ceiling.

 18th Century Graveyard – Case 8


Many people who've passed by this graveyard have claimed to have seen an old woman either zip through the cemetery or come straight at them. She then disappears without a trace.

 Confederation Trail Haunting – Case 9


This appears to be a paranormal hot-spot. Centering around around the murder of a young woman, whose body was found slightly off the trail.

 The Westridge Ghost – Case 10


Various claims have poured in regarding a ghost-man who walks up and down the street of Westridge with his ghost-dog. We are still currently researching this claims.

University Graveyard – Case 11


There's been various claims of pitch black faces with growing red eyes roaming the graveyard on University Ave. Although the haunting appears to be in conjunction to a man by who was executed and buried there. Much mystery surrounds a few unmarked graves, and those who died tragically that lie there.

The Ghost of Brighton Road – Case 12

There's been numerous claims of paranormal activity that centers around a mysterious apparition that roams Brighton Road. In regards to this, it may be in connection with our first case, “Hillsborough Hospital”. The original Charlottetown Lunatic Asylum.

 The Tolling Bell – St. James' Church, Charlottetown - Case 13


It is said that the bell of St. James church tolled eight times on the 7th of October, 1859, foretelling the doom of five men and three women who boarded the Queen Ferry (Fairie Queene), never to be seen again. Three women can be seen roaming the church's grounds. And every October 7th, the church bells toll.

Strange Lights – Case 14


To this day, it is said that strange lights appear, the outlines of a church become visible at Fort La Jolie – now known as Victoria Boardwalk. The apparition is accompanied by the rustle of the winds, the roar of the waves, and words of voices reciting: “Nora Pro Nobis” (say a prayer for me) in your ear.
